In January 2020, Team Ares participated in The Fan Dance. Damien had done this before while still serving in the UK SFSG, however this was a first for all other members of Team Ares.
The Fan Dance is a 24k route march in the Brecon Beacons that is infamous within the ranks of all UK Special Forces.

The Teams' strength of mind was tested while traversing Pen y Fan and the associated terrain before taking on the evil that is Jacob’s ladder on the return leg.

When all was said and done, Team Ares won the "Mixed Team" Award.
